The new guide covers an amazing variety of gritstone cliffs from the high, neglected edges of Kinder and Bleaklow, through to the honey pots of the Roaches and Hen Cloud, and even includes the sandstone cliffs of Merseyside and Cheshire. Added to this are the delights of Lancashire, whose quarries are home to a fine set of routes that see far less attention than their counterparts on the other side of the hills. A new set of photo-topos has been produced for every cliff and such venues as Hobson Moor Quarry, Wingather and Castle Naze have been given the coverage that they deserve. Many of the cliffs in this area have long played second fiddle to their more illustrious eastern brethren, now they are given a position centre stage.
Feedback suggests that the guide has made neglected venues popular again, the grass is being held at bay and many cliffs are getting more visits than they have had in years.
